Creating an effective 1-minute prospecting video requires a clear and concise structure to capture your prospect’s attention and convey your value proposition quickly. Here's a structured approach to crafting your pitch:

1. Intro - Showing Why You’re Reaching Out

  • Purpose: Immediately explain why you're reaching out to create relevance.
  • Audio examples:
    • "Hi! I found your website from the NHS GP registry and that prompted me to reach out."
    • "Hi! I saw your company recently appointed a new procurement executive."
    • "Hi! I saw you had open positions in your GTM and sales teams."
    • "I noticed on your job board you're expanding your finance team!"

2. Challenge/Pain Point

  • Purpose: Highlight a specific challenge or pain point the prospect might be facing.
  • Audio examples:

    • "I bet that having a clear understanding of spend vs. benchmarks, potential savings, and forecasting are key priorities."
    • "Building a good pipeline of candidates and hiring fast must be a top priority so you don’t get behind your quota capacity and risk missing your sales targets. But the reality is, hiring can take up a lot of your time when you also have to manage your team and help them close deals."
    • "I figure that getting full visibility into your financial KPIs and improving your forecasting accuracy is top of mind."

3. Intro to Solution+Social Proof

  • Purpose: Briefly introduce your solution and establish credibility with social proof immediately.
  • Examples:
    • "At Aquilla, we’ve helped many GP centers like yours streamline and automate their accounting and finance processes."
    • "With Sievo, we help over 150+ enterprise clients with procurement analytics."
    • "At Venatrix, we help sales teams at B2B SaaS companies like yours fill their open positions in no time."
    • "Agicap is a SaaS platform that helps you forecast your cash flow. We help finance teams like yours get reliable and accurate forecasts so you can best plan your growth and save hours of time by not having to crunch data in spreadsheets."
  • Screen examples (typically this will be generic and the same for all prospects):
    • Your website landing page
    • Your website landing page specialised for this audience if you have one
    • A specific case study that’s relevant to them

4. What You Do

  • Purpose: Explain what your company does in more detail and how it can solve the prospect’s problem.
  • Examples:
    • "Our software is a full suite of accounting modules dedicated to supporting healthcare organizations. We’re one of just six suppliers to be awarded a place on the Sub-Lot for finance software for NHS organizations and the entire UK public sector. We’re part of the G-Cloud procurement framework to make purchasing our software really easy."
    • "To make informed procurement decisions, you can only lead with data and clear insights. We help you gather those insights and turn them into concrete actions."
    • "We constantly enrich our candidate pool with top profiles sourced via our outreach but also coming inbound from our website. We perform phone interviews ourselves to properly vet candidates and match them with relevant job posts. We’re very mindful of your time so we’ll present you only 3 candidates to interview. Based on past experience and our vetting process, we know that’s enough for you to fill your role."
  • Screen examples (typically this will be generic and the same for all prospects):
    • Your website landing page, feature section
    • Your website landing page specialised for this audience if you have one, feature section

5. Leading on to Offer/Meeting

  • Purpose: Provide a clear call to action, inviting the prospect to connect for more information. Your call to action should be similar to the link you’ll add to your landing page.
  • Examples:
    • "I’d love to connect and show you how it works! Feel free to grab a time on my calendar so I can share a few customers’ stories and a personalized demo."
    • "I would love to share a few customer stories to illustrate how we can help."
    • "Would love to chat to discuss your needs further and show you how we can help. I’m sure that your next hire is already in our database! Feel free to grab a time on my calendar available just below!"
    • "As their new CPO joined, WernerCo transformed their processes and improved their spend visibility with Diego. I’d love to share more about their journey and how they transitioned to data-driven procurement decisions. Feel free to book a time on my calendar below!"
